Hello Lover...

Last night my friends and I drank a 2002 vintage of the Marques de Grinon Petit Verdot. I could not get a good picture of the bottle with my cell phone so I found one on the internet. If you've never had a Spanish wine, or never had a Petit Verdot, this is an excellent starting point. Typically a blending wine, this 100% Petit Verdot had my curiosity.
This sexy wine is very dark in color with smoke and red fruit on the nose with hints of leather. The palate is full bodied, with jammy fruit, yet quite balanced. As it opens, it shows herbal and meaty notes. A lot of dust and licorice on the finish.

As I continue to do this blog....I will figure out what I'm trying to say and how I want to say it....but for now it will be kind of like a plethera of tasting notes.
